Always inspect tape wrapped handles before using chainsaw, look for wear or damage that could cause failure of tape, remove and discard any damaged tape immediately.

handlebar & finishing tape contain no conventional adhesives, a silicone bonding layer is used to secure the tape for a non-slip waterproof grip & easy removal.
What you will need for installation
  • scissors
  • masking tape (have ready at completion) 

For full-wrap handle kits simply repeat the following steps on both sides of the wrap handle. 

Step one before applying your new control handle tape. prepare the surface for application by cleaning any foreign contamination or debris from the control handle surface and surrounding areas of the chainsaw, clean with a light application of water, dry thoroughly before applying tape.

Step two remove paper backing from handlebar tape start your tape wrap on the bottom and inside of the handlebar, overlap were the tape starts  hold it in place as you wind, start to wind the tape up the handlebar make sure to overlap each wind of tape by 65-70% applying light tension to the tape as it's wound (overlapping the tape more less than 65% will decrease it's durability) wrapping tape around corners requires careful application to ensure proper gaping.

Step Three once you reach the desired finishing point on your  handlebar simply cut away any excess tape (if necessary). then while maintaining constant tension on the handlebar tape, use  masking tape (NOT PROVIDED) and wrap it about one inch from were your control handle tape ends this will hold the tape in place under tension until you apply the silicone finishing tape. 

Step Four applying silicone finishing tape,( the finishing tape has no adhesive it only adheres to itself or silicon surfaces) first remove the clear film backing from the finishing tape then while maintaining tension on the handlebar tape tightly wrap the finishing tape around the end of the handlebar overlapping the handlebar tape by at least one inch and one inch on the bare handlebar (see above photo) the silicone tape will bond  immediately so be precise in you application.
